Children’s Classes
TODDLER TIME
Ages 6mo-4yrs
Sundays, 10-10:45am w/Maddy
An introduction to movement and music with a caregiver. Dance games and music to help build independence and body awareness.
CREATIVE CORE BALLET 1
Ages 3-5
Saturdays, 9:15-10am w/Alyssa
Combines core building exercises, basic ballet principles with music, imagination and spatial awareness. Students learn dance patterns, ideas of rotation and basic ballet terms, while building an understanding of class structure.
CREATIVE CORE BALLET 2
Ages 4-6
Sundays, 10:45-11:30am w/Maddy
A more advanced class that focuses on the deeper disciplines of using the ballet vocabulary to build on longer phrases and to enhance memory. Ballet uniform required. Recommended after 1 or 2 years of CC1.
PRE-BALLET 1
Ages 4-7
Saturdays, 10-11am w/Alyssa
The next level from creative creative 2 allowing dancers to explore a deeper understanding of the ballet technique with age appropriate focus.
PRE-BALLET 2
Ages 5-8
Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm w/SunMi
A deeper delve into ballet fundamentals for children who have completed creative core levels 1 and 2. Rotation and turn out specific balances with more advanced ballet concepts will be taught.
JAZZ / TAP / HIPHOP
Ages 5-9
Saturday, 11am-12pm w/Alyssa
This class is for moving to the beat and discovering rhythm while learning the basics of hip hop, jazz and tap.
FOUNDATIONS TAP
Ages 6-12
Thursday, 4:30-5:15pm w/Kathryn
Rhythm tap will focus on musicality and staying to the beat with your feet. This class will engage the mind to control the feet to make organized sound with music. No uniform required.
OPEN FOUNDATIONS BALLET
Ages 7-13
Sunday, 11:30am-12:30pm w/Maddy
This class will build Ballet Foundations with adding in contemporary ballet basics. Students will develop their ballet skills, stretching and flexibility and moving their entire bodies through space with small jumps, mid level jumps and traveling movements. Designed to be incorporated with two other weekly classes. Ballet uniform required. Need to have completed Creative Core and Pre-Ballet Programs to join class.
FOUNDATIONS BALLET 1 & 2
Ages 7-10
Thursday, 5:15-6:15pm w/SunMi
Successful completion of Foundations 1. Foundations 2 students will increase strength and awareness of turnout, petite allegro, extensions and begin pirouettes. Must be enrolled in at least 2 ballet classes. Must be enrolled in this class and one other class.
FOUNDATIONS BALLET 2 & 3
Ages 9-13
Monday, 4:30-5:30pm w/SunMi
Wednesday, 4:30-6pm w/SunMi
Successful completion of foundations 2. Foundations 3 students will build more arm coordination, increase vocabulary with petite allegro and grand allegro for gaining more leg and core strength. Must be enrolled in 2 Ballet classes and one elective class.
PERFORMANCE TEAM
Audition Required - By Invite Only
Monday, 5:30-6:15pm w/SunMi
Must be enrolled in 2 ballet classes, 1 elective Dance class (Tap, Contemporary or KPop), and rehearsal class. This team will be the leads for Nutcracker and Spring Showcase. This team will have several group dances they will rehearse Tuesdays during the year to perform at community events.
Must take at least 2 Ballet classes, 1 elective class and 1 performance team class.

Seasonal Showcases
Spring Showcase
We finish the year with our annual Spring Showcase. All classes in the studio will be characters in the show displaying all their hard work on stage in an original show created by SunMi and our Faculty. Participation fee includes additional rehearsals, costume, and a showcase T-shirt.
Holiday ‘Funcracker’
Funcracker is a Philly twist on the beloved classic. This 60 minute holiday show puts on display all the fun jawn Philly has to offer from soft pretzel angels, a Wawa Rat-King to an ugly sweater block party.
