** We now offer UNLIMITED class pricing for our advanced children's program dancers who take 6 or more classes a week! This program and pricing are designed for our Performance Team and Competition Team dancers to help them take the maximum number of classes.**
CREATIVE CORE BALLET 1
Ages 3-5
Sundays, 9:15-10am w/SunMi
Saturdays, 9:15-10am w/SunMi
Combines core building exercises, basic ballet principles with music, imagination and spatial awareness. Students learn dance patterns, ideas of rotation and basic ballet terms, while building an understanding of class structure. Uniform Required.
K-POP
Ages 4-10
Saturday, 11am-12pm w/SunMi
Learn high power, energetic choreography inspired by the ever popular KPop movement from Korea! This fun class will teach current KPop dances while building stamina and release endorphins to keep everyone energized. The class builds on the fundamentals of body isolations, sharp hand gestures and the power of muscle memory. No Uniform Required.
PRE-BALLET 1
Ages 5-10
Sundays, 10-11am w/SunMi
Saturdays, 10-11am w/SunMi
The next level up from Creative Core allows dancers to explore a deeper understanding of the ballet technique with age appropriate focus. Dancers increase muscle development and pattern recognition for simultaneous cognitive and muscle development. Uniform Required.
FOUNDATIONS TAP / JAZZ
Ages 6-12
Thursdays, 5:30-6:15pm w/Kathryn
Rhythm tap will focus on musicality and staying to the beat with your feet. This class will engage the mind to control the feet to make organized sound with music. Students will share the class time with jazz fundamentals of isolation and full body movements to upbeat music. Uniform Required.
PRE-BALLET 2 /2X
Ages 7-12
Thursdays, 4:30-5:30pm w/Kathryn
A deeper delve into ballet fundamentals for children who have completed creative core levels 1 and 2. Rotation and turn out specific balances with more advanced ballet concepts will be taught. Uniform Required.
ADVANCED TAP
Ages 7-12
Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm w/Kathryn
Must have taken 2 years of tap and be at a mature level of focus. Rhythm tap focuses on musicality, which is staying on beat with your feet. This promotes body regulation and encourages coordination as students learn to make organized sound with their feet. Uniform Required.
K-POP
Ages 7-12

TURNS & JUMPS
Ages 7-12
Fridays, 4:30-5:15pm w/SunMi
Must be enrolled in Foundations Ballet. This class is designed for the student who is ready to build more strength in grand allegro and multiple turns in both ballet and contemporary movement. Uniform Required.
JAZZ / HIPHOP
Ages 8-12
Saturday, 12-1pm w/SunMi
This class is for moving to the beat and discovering rhythm while learning the basics of hip hop, jazz and tap. Isolations with down beat and upbeat rhythms explored for creating dynamic movements. No Uniform Required.
FOUNDATIONS BALLET 1
Ages 8-12
Sundays, 11am-12pm w/SunMi
This next level up from Pre-Ballet 2x. Ballet fundamentals are explored with more detail and complicated steps that require rotation with proper arm positions. This class focuses on timing the entire body with music, which requires an enormous amount of awareness and control moving from memory retention to body execution with the musical counts. Must be enrolled in this class and one other dance class any style. Uniform Required.
FOUNDATIONS BALLET 1 & 2
Ages 8-12
Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm w/SunMi
Successful completion of Foundations 1. Foundations 2 students will increase strength and awareness of turnout, petite allegro, extensions and begin pirouettes. Must be enrolled in at least 2 ballet classes. Must be enrolled in this class and one other dance class any style. Uniform Required.
FOUNDATIONS BALLET 3
Ages 8-12
Monday, 4:30-5:30pm w/SunMi
Successful completion of foundations 2. Foundations 3 students will build more arm coordination, increase vocabulary with petite allegro and grand allegro for gaining more leg and core strength. Must be enrolled in this class and one other dance class any style. Uniform Required.
FOUNDATIONS BALLET 3 & CONTEMPORARY
Ages 8-12
Wednesdays, 4:30-6:15pm w/SunMi
Advanced Foundations Ballet with Contemporary. Students do a ballet barre, 15 minute conditioning and stretch then will move into dance sequences with full body expression, isolations, extensions and floor work to build a large range of motion and emotion for more advanced students. Must be enrolled in this class and one other dance class any style. Uniform Required.
PERFORMANCE TEAM
Audition Required - By Invite Only
Monday, 5:30-6:15pm w/SunMi
The Performance Team is a select group of dancers who represent the studio at community events and have the exciting opportunity to compete in dance competitions along the East Coast. This team will take on lead roles in both the Nutcracker and the Spring Showcase. Participation is by invitation or audition only. Members of the team will rehearse several group dances on Tuesdays throughout the year to prepare for performances at local events. Dancers must be enrolled in at least two Ballet classes, one elective class, and one Performance Team class to participate.
COMPETITION TEAM
Audition Required - By Invite Only
Fridays, 5:15-6:30pm w/SunMi
Must be invited. Class will review already choreographed dances and give individual attention to each student to practice their dances. Uniform Required.
TEENS 12+
Seasonal Showcases
Spring Showcase
We finish the year with our annual Spring Showcase. All children and teen students will perform as characters in the show displaying all their hard work on stage in an original show created by SunMi and our Faculty. Participation fee includes additional rehearsals, costume, and a showcase T-shirt.
Holiday ‘Funcracker’
Funcracker is a Philly twist on the beloved classic. All children and teen students will perform in this 60 minute holiday show. We display all the fun jawn Philly has to offer from soft pretzel angels, a Wawa Rat-King to an ugly sweater block party.
